Questions answered in the context of real operations

Getting started

How long does setup take?+

Setup time depends on the number of sites, the quality of the available asset data and the workflows being introduced.

A useful first step is to add one site, one conveyor and one representative service job, then confirm the record structure with the people who will use it.

Do I need to install anything?+

No. BeltLabs is a web app. The field app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — open it in Safari or Chrome on a phone and tap "Add to Home Screen." A network connection is required for current records and submissions.

Your deployment and data requirements are confirmed during purchasing and implementation.

What if I don't have my conveyor data in a spreadsheet?+

That's fine. Most operators start with whatever they have — a clipboard, a PDF, a whiteboard. You can add conveyors one at a time through the dashboard.

The in-app Import data page includes a downloadable CSV template, validation and a preview before any records are created.

Can I import data from my existing CMMS?+

Conveyor, client and site records can be prepared in the supplied CSV template and imported directly. Broader CMMS migration and integration requirements should be assessed against the source system and data quality.

Many teams begin with a bounded site or workflow before expanding the rollout.

Billing

Can I have a free trial?+

No. Site and Fleet billing begins when checkout completes.

The setup centre then guides your team through configuration and data migration without an onboarding call.

How does billing work?+

Site and Fleet are billed monthly in advance through Paddle, with no minimum term.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the billing page in the app. We don't need to be involved.

What if I go over my asset cap?+

Review usage in billing and move to the plan that matches your fleet before importing additional assets.

Existing operational records remain available according to your subscription status and agreement.

Do I have to enter a credit card?+

Site and Fleet must be paid through Paddle Checkout using the payment methods available for your location. Enterprise commercial terms are agreed separately.

What about GST / tax?+

Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes as merchant of record. Checkout shows the tax treatment and final amount for the customer's location before payment.

Data and security

Where is my data stored?+

Hosting region, encryption and retention requirements are confirmed as part of deployment planning. Ask for the current security overview when assessing BeltLabs for your environment.

Do you train any AI model on my data?+

No. We do not train any model — ours or anyone else's — on your data. Your data is yours.

Can I export my data?+

Supported list and detail views provide CSV or JSON exports where shown.

Confirm broader offboarding export requirements before relying on the platform for regulated retention.

What happens to my data if I cancel?+

You have 30 days from cancellation to export your data from the app. After 30 days, the data is deleted permanently. We keep a backup of account metadata (email, plan history) for 7 years as required by tax law.

Do you have SOC 2?+

BeltLabs does not currently publish a SOC 2 report. Email security@beltaxis.com for the current security overview and available assurance material.

Product

What does the field app do?+

A splicer walks up to a belt, scans the QR code stuck on the structure, and the app opens that belt's record. From there they can log a new splice, view history, attach a photo, mark the splice done, and submit the field record.

A network connection is required to load current records and submit changes.

How does BeltLabs work with accounting and ERP systems?+

BeltLabs provides structured exports and a scoped API for approved integrations. Direct accounting connections are not enabled in the current customer release; confirm the required handover before rollout.

Do you have an API?+

API keys and integration settings are managed by authorised administrators. Confirm the endpoints and access needed for your deployment before relying on an integration.

Legal and commercial

Do you provide professional advice?+

No. BeltLabs is a software tool, not a consultancy. We don't give engineering, safety, regulatory, or financial advice. You and your team are responsible for the decisions you make on the basis of data in the platform.

See the Terms of Service for the full picture.

What's your SLA / uptime guarantee?+

We don't offer a contractual SLA. We aim for high availability, but the platform may be unavailable from time to time. Service credits are not provided.

If you require a contractual uptime commitment, this isn't the right product for you.

Can I get a refund?+

Payments are non-refundable except where a refund or another remedy is required by applicable law. Cancel before renewal to prevent the next charge.
